Camden Community Connections auspice community groups that cater for the needs of residents in the Camden LGA.
Macarthur Spinners and Weavers
The Macarthur Spinners and Weavers is a group of vibrant, enthusiastic people who gather weekly to exchange ideas, learn new techniques, and practice their crafts. The group meets every Friday from 9.30am at the Country Women’s Association rooms in Camden. Males and females are welcome!
Polymyalgia Rheumatica Support Group (PMR)
The PMR group is a support group for the sufferers of PMR and/or their carers. The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 10-12pm, from February to November in the CCC meeting room located at Narellan Child, Family and Community Centre; Queen Streets, Narellan. New members are welcome!
Seniors Issues Group
The Seniors Issues Group was formed to allow local seniors to meet to voice their concerns with their peers and to discuss local issues and become involved in community projects. The group advocates on behalf of all seniors in relation to a large range of issues that not only affect them but that may impact on the community as a whole. Meetings are held bi-monthly.
Walking groups provide a great opportunity to get out and meet new friends while exercising and enjoying the local surrounds.
Camden Just Walk It (CJWI)
This group of walkers meet at 8.45am at Chellaston Reserve in Camden every Tuesday, rain or shine. The group is run by volunteers and new walkers are encouraged to join the group. This activity is suitable for slow and fast walkers alike and it’s FREE!
Mt Annan Wanderers Walking For Pleasure
This group, also run by volunteers, walk every Friday morning, except on public holidays, and meet at the entry booth to the Mt Annan Botanic Gardens at 7.15am during daylight saving months and 8.15am from April to September. New walkers are welcome!
